About Me

I wrote this blog so that I might be able to give someone some hope that they may be looking for. We all look for some type of hope in our lives every day.

sharing my faith

Faith and belief is a very important part of our lives. A person's beliefs in many ways define who they are -- how they see themselves, what they want out of life, and more. I want to offer a personal account of my own beliefs. I'll describe how my beliefs have changed my life in profound and exciting way. Many of us associate our most deeply-held convictions with a single, life-changing experience. Others have always held certain beliefs sacred. In either case, it is important to talk about our experience and share our story or testimony with others. Doing this I think might change the lives of others. I was introduced to church when I was a child. My parents was not involved in a church, but I had the blessing of having neighbors who were and invited me to join them at their church. I remember visiting with my neighbors alot; they became my second family. I continued going with them to church for several years until shortly after they moved.

Now I would like to tell you about the first time I heard God speak to me, it is a time I will never forget. At the time this happened I was well on the wrong path of my life. Ok now back to the testimony, I remember that my dad was burning some things and my sister and I was helping him, I had some shoes on that were hurting my feet, so I took them off, and continued to help. Well somehow even though I was standing a good distance away from the burn pile some hot ashes fell on my foot; and you can believe it or not but this is what truly happened, I heard "Do you want to feel like this for eternity". Then I felt the burning and no matter what I did, weather it was run cold water on my foot or put ice on it I could not get it to quit burning. After a while it did quit burning and I did not have any blisters or anything there to show that I got burned. So I knew that it was God speaking to me and that I need to straighten my life out. I did do just that, I went back to church and did what I was told to do. Now I wish I could say that I stayed doing that but I didn't I ended up falling out of church again but I didn't lose sight of God, I still talked to him and still looked at things in a Godly manor. As I got older and had kids I started to realize that I needed to get back in church and raise my family in a good environment, so I tossed that thought around for years and kept fearing of finding the wrong church. See I wanted to make sure I would find one that was teaching Gods Word, we all have to be careful because it is easy to get into a church that only picks a few verses out of the bible and turns them around to say what they want it to say.

So after years went by and I moved around alot, my friend, my family and I started talking about how we all wanted to find a church home so we decided that we would look together and we tried a few and they just didn't feel like home until we found the one we are going to now.

I have many testimonies to tell, this was just one I will share those stories with you at another time keep in touch to see them, thank you in an advance.
